Hi
One Day Never is art and design made by me, Nishat Akhtar.
I spent ten great years in New York, studying, designing and working. After receiving my B.F.A. from the Pratt Institute, I went on to work on various fashion and entertainment campaigns for clients from Converse and BCBG to MTV and HBO, and for agencies including Home NYC, Lipman and Yard.
Currently a designer for Anthropologie at the Urban Outfitters' home office in Philadelphia, I work on design from web through print, focused on anthro, the customer loyalty program. It is an amazing place to work and I'm constantly excited to be around so many creative people in such an inspiring environment.
Outside of work, I spend time hand-making art (participating in a small printmakers collective in West Philly), as well as riding my bicycle around this fine city, or horses across the nearby rural settings. My biggest and truest loves are ponies, cupcakes, letterpress, bicycles and Coney Island.
I have participated in exhibitions in New York City and Philadelphia.
